After Donald #Trump’s pledge to buy #Greenland from #Denmark, Danes have come up with an outlandish proposition of their own – that they buy the US state of #California. A new tongue-in-cheek website aiming to rally support behind the idea has already gained more than 200,000 signatures. It suggests renaming the state "New Denmark", along with other plans for “Denmarkification”, such as bike lanes in Beverly Hills and changing the name of Disneyland to Hans Christian Andersenland.
