Marco Rubio disrupted by pro-Palestine activists during Senate testimony

    “Rubio, end the genocide!”

Activists repeatedly interrupted US Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s Senate testimony on Tuesday, condemning Washington’s support for Israel amid its ongoing genocidal war on besieged Gaza.

“Stop the genocide,” “Sanction Israel,” and “Start feeding the children!” activists affiliated with Code Pink shouted as Rubio entered the hearing.

Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chair Jim Risch had earlier warned of “zero tolerance” for disruptions, threatening custody and year-long bans for anyone engaging with lawmakers.

After the protesters were removed, Rubio stated that the United States had not discussed deporting Palestinians from Gaza to Libya. However, he said Washington had asked other regional countries whether they would accept Palestinians who want to relocate voluntarily.

Rubio also told the committee he has likely revoked “thousands” of visas.
