More than 60 Indigenous artifacts taken to the Vatican by Catholic missionaries a century ago have been returned to First Nations, Inuit and Métis communities — a step tied to the legacy of Catholic-run residential schools, where more than 150,000 Indigenous children were forced to attend and suffered widespread abuse.
