Speaking at the White House, Trump said, “CNN should be sold.” Netflix’s proposed acquisition of Warner Bros. covers assets such as HBO but does not include CNN or other cable networks. Those channels — including CNN, TNT, and TBS — are expected to be spun off into a separate entity before the merger.
