‘America’s Next Top Model’ alum Miss J Alexander made a rare appearance on the red carpet alongside former costar Nigel Barker just over three years after suffering a stroke. The duo was on hand to celebrate National Espresso Martini Month with Nigel’s The Barker Company and their signature cocktail. While Nigel kept it stylish in black jeans, a black button up and a gray sports coat, Miss J looked effortlessly fashionable, donning a fuzzy blue coat over his all-black ensemble. The outing marks one of the handful of public appearances the 67-year-old has made since suffering a stroke in December 2022. “I woke up. I didn’t know where I was other than in the hospital,” Miss J recalled of the incident in the recently-released Netflix documentary ‘Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model’. “I spent five weeks in a coma, and I couldn’t walk. And I couldn’t talk. And I thought to myself, what was I going to do? I couldn’t walk; I couldn’t speak." But Miss J—who said in the docuseries that he had not seen Tyra Banks since his stroke—is feeling optimistic about the future. “I’m the person who taught models how to walk, and now I can’t walk—not yet,” he said. “I’m determined to walk.
