He detailed his experience on his social media platform, Truth Social, mentioning the sensation of the bullet piercing his ear and subsequent bleeding. On Sunday, he extended gratitude for the support and prayers he received, attributing his survival to divine intervention and vowing to remain resilient against such acts of wickedness. He also announced plans to speak at the Republican National Convention later in the week.

    Authorities have launched an extensive investigation into the incident, with the FBI and Pennsylvania state law enforcement working jointly. Early inquiries led officials to Crooks’ residence in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, searching for clues to understand the motive behind the attack.

    At a news conference, the incident was explicitly described as an assassination attempt by the Pittsburgh Special Agent in Charge, Kevin Rojek. The location of the attack remains an active crime scene as investigators continue to piece together the events.

    While the immediate threat was neutralized, officials reassured the public of no ongoing danger, indicating that the shooter seemed to have acted alone. The investigation remains active, with authorities appealing for any information related to the incident.
