Trump began by expressing profound gratitude to the American public for their overwhelming support following the attack on his life during a recent rally. “I want to start by thanking you all for your immense outpouring of love and support after the attempt on my life this past Saturday,” he said. “The assassin’s bullet came perilously close, within a quarter of an inch, to ending my life. Many have asked me for details about what happened. I will share those details now, though it’s a story I find incredibly painful to recount.”
As Trump spoke, he was accompanied by a series of striking photographs that captured moments from the incident. “It was a beautiful, warm day in Butler Township, Pennsylvania. The music was loud, the crowd was vibrant, and everything was going great. As I took the stage, the audience erupted in cheers. I was in high spirits, discussing the successful immigration policies of my administration,” Trump described.

He detailed how, during his speech, he had turned to view a large screen displaying impressive statistics on border crossings under his administration. “Just as I started to turn further, I heard a loud whizzing noise and felt a tremendous impact on my right ear,” Trump recounted.
In a dramatic twist of fate, the former president narrowly avoided the assassin’s bullet by turning his head at the critical moment. “I thought to myself, ‘What was that? It has to be a bullet,’” Trump said, describing how he saw blood on his hand after touching his ear. Realizing the gravity of the situation, he dropped to the ground immediately.
