Twenty people were injured after clashes erupted during an anti-violence protest in Mexico City. Demonstrators marched in response to a call from a group identifying itself as “Gen Z,” demanding justice for victims of violence and for the killing of Uruapan Mayor Carlos Manzo.
President Claudia Sheinbaum said the “Gen Z” protests were politically influenced and claimed the demonstrations were manipulated.
