Israel is suspending the licenses of more than two dozen international aid organizations operating in Gaza and the occupied West Bank, accusing them of failing to meet new vetting rules. The UN and the NGOs strongly deny the claims.
Humanitarian groups warn the move will worsen Gaza’s already severe crisis, threaten aid workers’ safety, and leave a dangerous gap that less experienced or politicized actors may fill. The decision has drawn international backlash, with critics saying it violates international law and will make the humanitarian catastrophe harder to address and document. Mohammad Al-Kassim reports from the occupied East Jerusalem.
