The athlete was diagnosed with Shingles—a viral infection that causes a painful rash that can show up anywhere on the body, according to Mayo Clinic—following a season-ending injury during the 2025 NBA finals. Though Tyrese was gearing up to return to the court following rehabilitation for his ruptured Achilles tendon, the diagnosis set his progress back. He shared of his symptoms, “I just had a bad rash.
