Authorities in the US are treating an armed attack on a dinner in Washington as an assassination attempt on President Trump and other members of his administration.
Secret service agents bundled President Trump, and vice president JD Vance, from their table at the White House correspondents dinner – an event attended by hundreds of journalists, including the Sky News Washington team.
A 31 year-old man was arrested – officials say he’d written a note in which he referred to himself as Friendly Federal Assassin.
