A member of the Global Sumud Flotilla sent a radio message to the Greek Coast Guard requesting assistance after the flotilla was illegally surrounded in international waters – near the Greek island of Crete – by the Israeli navy.
“Governments must act now to protect the flotilla governments hold Israel accountable for these flagrant violations of international law and for israel’s ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people,” organisers said in a press release.
