Conflicting accounts from the US and Iran over escalating tensions in the Strait of Hormuz.
Iranian state media reported that two missiles struck an American warship, but a senior Iranian official later said only a warning shot was fired.
However, US Central Command has denied that any US Navy ships were hit and says two American-flagged merchant vessels successfully transited the Strait, a claim Iran denies.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump posted on Truth Social that there has been "no damage" in the Strait of Hormuz and claims US forces have shot down "seven small boats".
