After a series of conciliatory statements leading into them, President Trump’s tone then changed again Monday, as he declared that not even the threat of an economic depression would deter him from striking Iran again to ensure that the regime doesn’t obtain a nuclear weapon. And VP Vance, leading the US delegation in the talks, already announced that international inspectors would again be allowed into Iranian nuclear sites… all while the US administration has touted the reopened Strait of Hormuz. But the Iranian side has had their say too. And while they have stayed in the talks despite taking issue with President Trump’s renewed military threats, the representatives from Tehran have said the Strait is still closed, and will still be managed by them, and that no nuclear inspectors will be allowed in.
