Rick Moranis surprised fans with a rare public appearance during a panel for the upcoming ‘Spaceballs’ sequel at San Diego Comic-Con. Reprising his role from the beloved 1987 ‘Star Wars’ spoof, Moranis walked through a packed Hall H wearing his iconic, oversized black helmet from the original film, earning a standing ovation from the crowd. Spearheaded in part by Josh Gad, the sequel reunites several members of the original cast, including Mel Brooks, who returns as both a producer and as Yogurt, the fan-favorite Yoda parody from the original film. ‘Spaceballs: The New One’ is scheduled to hit theaters on April 23.
