Germany is facing a moment of reckoning: A far-right party is predicted to win a state election for the first time since World War Two.
Alternative for Deutschland, better known as the AfD, have been called racists, Nazis and a threat to national security.
Their poster boy is a 35-year-old former perfume salesman, Ulrich Siegmund, who is on course to be elected the state leader of Saxony-Anhalt in east Germany.
Europe correspondent Alistair Bunkall has tracked him down to understand why people are voting for him.
