New York Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul and Republican challenger Bruce Blakeman came out swinging as soon as the only debate of their neck-and-neck race got underway on October 13. Meanwhile, Republicans are aiming to regain the office, which Democrats have held for the past 20 years.
